Abstracts for IHRA's conference: Harm Reduction 2008 'Towards a Global Approach'

Apart from INPUD's Users Choice sessions, the conference program is build on the list of issues here below.

  • Gender and harm reduction

  • Hepatitis

  • Hidden or forgotten harms of drug use (such as affected families, children of drug users, tuberculosis, nutrition, violence or dental health)

  • Alcohol harm reduction or responsible hospitality

  • Tobacco (or nicotine) harm reduction

  • Innovative harm reduction approaches, research and debate

  • Harms of incarceration (and how to prevent these)

  • Harm reduction in the context of social inclusion, access to and quality of health systems, and poverty alleviation

  • Harm reduction education and training

  • Harm reduction in resource-poor settings

  • Harm reduction and criminal justice approaches

  • Unintended consequences or failings of harm reduction approaches (and the lessons that we can learn from these)




Abstract submission for the conference as a whole is open until November 14.
